There is no better time to focus on our own wellbeing! The world needs change, and in order to be healthy and effective change agents social workers need to learn skills for building and sustaining our own resilience amidst the challenges of this work.

In this interactive presentation we will explore the concept of radical resilience building. We will spend our time together exploring briefly the impact of chronic stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and primary/secondary/historical trauma on our body/mind, and then spend most of the time exploring and experiencing the concept of resilience and ways to build our own.

You will leave with more tools to bring to your work making the world more just, humane, and sustainable!
